Mission:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic team leader to join the growing team. The successful incumbent will play a crucial role in leading and upskilling a team of junior test engineers, ensuring the highest standards of testing methodologies and practices. As the Test Engineering Operations Stream Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supervising the technical design, automation, execution and resolution of the Operations test packages and contribute to the success of our projects.
Your role & responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and inspire a team of junior test engineers, providing clear guidance, mentorship, and support.
Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages continuous learning, innovation and excellence.
Effectively manage team resources, ensuring optimal allocation for project deliverables.

Functional and Technical Knowledge Upskilling:
Identify the skill gaps within the team and develop targeted training plans on functional aspects of Murex product MX.3 and Business Processes
Collaborate with MX.3 Functional Product teams to design and conduct training sessions to enhance functional knowledge especially related to Operations.
Personally act as a mentor/tutor on functional aspects to junior test engineers
Stay updated on test management trends and best practices to ensure the teams skills remain cutting-edge.
What you will do:

Supervision of Test Packages:
Oversee the design and build of Operations test packages, ensuring they align with Murex quality objectives.
Execution and Resolution:
Supervise the execution and resolution of test packages, complying with the target objectives set by the respective Delivery Manager
Support and Escalation:
Act as the first level of escalation for Test Engineers in the daily operations, providing support and guidance, particularly during the resolution of failed tests (e.g. "greening")
Training Recommendations:
Recommend relevant training programs based on the scope of Regression Test Packs and identified gaps in resources.
Stream Management:
Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Operations Stream, applying the common operating model in line with established processes and tools to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in testing processes, ensuring compliance with internal processes, industry standards, and regulations.
Efficiency Enhancement
:
Propose and drive the implementation of optimization measures for Regression Test Pack implementation.
Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency, reduce testing cycle times, and lower operational costs.
Optimize Regression Test Pack in terms of content and cost while maintaining high testing quality.
Deliverable Capitalization:
Ensure the quality and capitalization of the deliverables for the Operations stream, including impact notes and change articles.
Defect Correction:
Drive the defect correction process, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the Testing Engineering Domain to foster a cohesive and productive work environment, maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
Community of Experts:
Act as key member in a community of experts where you collaborate and share your knowledge to collectively advance the Test Engineering domain and drive meaningful innovation.
Your skills & qualifications
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Analytical Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex challenges within the Operations domain.
Banking Capital Markets Knowledge:
Sound understanding of capital market Operations (Confirmation & Settlement) and prior experience with software such as Omgeo, Calypso, Opics, Kondor+, Summit would be advantageous.
Experience of team management of at least 2 years is necessary.
Communication Skills:
Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory to operate in Murex international context.
Interest in Software Testing Automation:
A genuine interest in software testing automation and the willingness to gain deep expertise in MXtest (Murex testing framework) and test automation techniques
Experience working in projects (agile or waterfall) is a plus.
