* Role:
The Raw Material Technologist will help the company to ensure that materials used in products meet company agreed standards and customer requirements.
The Raw Material Technologist will be responsible for managing the raw materials of the company products including developing, maintaining, approving material specifications for both existing and new raw material suppliers. This role is critical in ensuring raw materials meet the highest standards of quality, safety & ethics.
He/she will work closely with the International and Vietnamese suppliers, and Tonkin business partners, ensuring that the ingredients, materials we use in our products are of the companys required standards. He/she must be proactive and have a highly self-motivated attitude to consistently work to the highest standard.
* Key Accountabilities:
• Responsibility to develop, risk assess, maintain and approve material specifications for existing and new suppliers as part of the companys due diligence program.
• Working closely with other technical team members and the relevant cross-departments in the company to ensure that materials specified are fit for purpose operationally and meet all legislation and Customer code of practice requirements.
• Plan and visit suppliers as per agreed schedule for onsite inspections, audits, and raw material reviews to ensure all requirements written in specifications are met.
• Screening supplier technical specification submissions and specification completion when the need arises and supporting specification administration activities.
• Direct responsibility for working with suppliers collating information, specifications, supplier queries and assisting the technical department with detailed customer supplier information requests and non-conformances.
• Working closely with the Production Team to ensure agreed quality and testing parameters are accurate and achievable and are aligned to the approved suppliers and group material specifications.
• Maintaining accurate information within all relevant material databases ensuring alignment with finished product specifications and managing any change with relevant teams.
• Maintenance of all raw material related data and information in a consistent way ensuring compliance with current legislation, customers codes of practice and accreditation schemes.
• Ensuring supplier and material accreditation schemes such as ISO 22000, HACCP, VIETGAP, ASC, etc. are maintained throughout the material conformance process stages and ongoing compliance.
• Generating and reporting of supplier visit reports and material specifications.
• Supporting non-technical staff so that they have the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to achieve required performance standards and sustain this over time.
• Actively supporting in all necessary areas of our business and operations as required, even those not directly associated with their core role.
Yêu cầu
• Bachelors degree in Food Technology/ Science, Agriculture, Fishery Supply Chain or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in food and beverage production and supply sector, or agriculture and fishery supply chain
• Good knowledge of VIETGAP, GLOBALGAP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and other international standards.
• Ability to travel domestically
• A strong team player with a positive attitude, good at relationship building, and highly organized.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
