We are seeking a passionate and creative Game Design Collaborator with a focus on level design to join our development team. This role is perfect for someone new to the field who is eager to gain hands-on experience in game design and contribute to creating engaging and immersive game levels.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate on Level Design:
- Work closely with the game design team to brainstorm and conceptualize compelling and balanced game levels.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss and refine level design ideas and ensure they align with the game s overall vision.
2. Design and Prototype Levels:
- Use game development tools and software to design and prototype level layouts.
- Create initial drafts and mock-ups of levels, focusing on gameplay flow, aesthetics, and player engagement.
3. Iterate and Refine Level Layouts:
- Continuously iterate on level designs based on feedback from the team and playtesting sessions.
- Make adjustments to level layouts to improve gameplay balance, difficulty progression, and overall player experience.
4, Ensure Alignment with Game Vision:
- Ensure that all levels adhere to the game s narrative, style, and design principles.
- Incorporate elements of environmental storytelling to enhance the immersive experience.
5, Maintain Documentation:
- Create and update detailed documentation for level designs, including maps, gameplay flowcharts, and design notes.
- Keep track of design iterations and changes to maintain clarity and consistency throughout the development process.
