Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to oversee all aspects of product quality across our childrens apparel and soft toy products. With over 10 years of industry expertise, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every product meets our exacting safety, compliance, and quality standards. This role requires a deep understanding of garment construction, fabric quality, and toy manufacturing, particularly for childrens products where safety and compliance are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Management:
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality assurance processes and standards for childrens apparel and soft toys.
• Monitor production lines and ensure adherence to established quality benchmarks.
• Conduct pre-production and in-line and final inspections to identify and address issues early in the process.
2. Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure all products meet international safety standards and regulations, such as CPSIA, EN71, ISO, and ASTM for soft toys, and standards for childrens wear like flammability, drawstring safety, and labelling.
• Stay updated on evolving compliance requirements and implement necessary adjustments.
3. Vendor Management:
• Collaborate closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure adherence to quality protocols.
• Conduct audits to assess manufacturing processes and ensure compliance.
• Provide training and guidance to vendors on quality standards and best practices.
4. Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor the supplier network team to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Train team members in inspection techniques, standards, and compliance requirements.

5. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Prepare regular reports on quality performance metrics and present findings to senior management.
6. Continuous Improvement:
• Analyse product failures and customer feedback to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Drive process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
7. Product Development Collaboration:
• Partner with design, sourcing, and production teams during product development to identify potential quality risks and ensure manufacturability.
• Review prototypes and samples for compliance and quality before moving to bulk production.
Yêu cầu
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelors degree in textiles, fashion technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance within the apparel industry, with a focus on childrens wear and soft toys.
• Deep knowledge of childrens safety standards and compliance regulations across global markets.
• Proven track record of managing QA processes for both in-house and outsourced manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience conducting factory audits and working with overseas vendors, particularly in Asia.
• Proficiency in quality tools such as AQL standards, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Hands-on experience with natural fabrics (e.g., organic cotton, wool) and eco-friendly materials.
• Familiarity with sustainable and ethical manufacturing practices.
• Knowledge-specific testing methods and regulations such as choke testing for small parts.
