We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Procurement Intern to support our dynamic procurement team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in various aspects of the procurement process, from goods receiving and inventory management to payment processing. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and have a keen interest in developing a career in procurement or supply chain management.
Schedule: Part-time (2 days per week, flexible schedule possible). This position will support the procurement officer and report to the Operations manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Goods Receiving:
● Receive incoming goods and verify them against purchase orders.
● Inspect items for damage, quantity discrepancies, and quality issues.
● Ensure proper documentation of received goods.
● Coordinate with the warehouse team for storage and organization.
Inventory Management:
● Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
● Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages.
● Track the movement of items in and out of the warehouse.
● Support physical inventory counts and reconciliation.
Payment Processing
● Assist in verifying invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents.
● Support to prepare payment requests and ensure timely processing.
● Support to maintain accurate records of payments and transactions.
● Assist with vendor communication regarding invoices and payments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
● Bachelor degree or undergraduate student in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
● Strong organizational and time management skills.
● Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
● Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Previous experience in procurement or inventory management is a plus.
