Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and experienced Level Designer who specializes in game design to join our dynamic team. As a Level Designer, you will be responsible for crafting engaging and immersive gameplay experiences through the creation of levels, environments, and puzzles. You will work closely with the game design team to implement and iterate on level designs that align with the overall vision and goals of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Level Design: Design, prototype, and implement levels that provide compelling gameplay experiences while adhering to the creative direction and technical constraints of the project.
- Gameplay Mechanics Integration: Collaborate with the game design team to integrate gameplay mechanics seamlessly into level designs, ensuring a cohesive and enjoyable player experience.
- Puzzles and Challenges: Design and implement puzzles, challenges, and interactive elements within levels to stimulate player engagement and foster strategic thinking.
- Iteration and Testing: Conduct playtesting sessions and gather feedback to iterate on level designs, balancing difficulty, pacing, and player progression for optimal gameplay satisfaction.
- Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive documentation for level designs, including diagrams, flowcharts, and written descriptions, to facilitate communication and collaboration across the development team.
- Optimization: Optimize level designs for performance and resource efficiency, considering factors such as load times, memory usage, and hardware limitations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with artists, programmers, and other team members to ensure the successful integration of level designs into the game, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.




Yêu cầu ứng viên


Knowledge:
- Proven experience in level design for video games, with a focus on gameplay and player experience.
- Proficiency in level design tools such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or proprietary game engines.
- Strong understanding of game mechanics, level flow, and player psychology.
Skill:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for pushing the boundaries of interactive entertainment.
- Portfolio showcasing previous level design work and demonstrating a diverse range of styles and genres.
- Familiarity with game development pipelines and best practices.
