Role Overview
- We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as Junior Trader based in Vietnam to provide key support of all aspects of Commercial functions. The role provides long term development potential for someone eager to demonstrate their skills and experience in a challenging and fast paced soft commodities environment. The role will report to Commercial Manager and will be based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

- Volcafe works across the whole green coffee supply chain to make coffee business better, together with our partners and employees. We have built and operate sustainable coffee supply chains across all our origins, addressing key economic, social and environmental issues in coffee farming communities. Our Volcafe Way farmer support programme engages with thousands of coffee farmers and provides a holistic response to the challenges they face.
Key Accountabilities
To be part of the commercial/trading team and support in all possible ways, from execution to strategy. Starting with more operational/execution tasks, the goal is to become a member of the strategy team where the key trading decisions are made.
Reporting:
o Volcafe Position report and AX365 Reconciliation.
o Trading activities recap (Purchases and Sales).
o Risk Management report (FOB and FOT purchases).
o Ad-hoc reports to the management.
Operation activities:
o Following up with daily activities to give clarification upon questions across departments internally related to Purchases & Sales.
o Participating in weekly meetings to provide updates and thoughts.
o Supporting to create contracts in AX/Itas if needed.
o Supporting to place Futures Sell/Buy orders if needed.
o Supporting to conduct: field trip survey if needed.
Trading activities:
o Contacting with clients to deal with topics related to after Purchases / Sales.
o Supporting the line manager to contact local exporters to get offers time to time.
o Supporting the line manager to composing selling offered prices to sister companies and clients.
o Conducting business trip if needed.
Yêu cầu
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Experience:
- Minimum two years experience working in Coffee Trading position, if not coffee at least food & beverage industry.
- International trading and B2B business (at least food & beverage industry knowledge) is a strong advantage.
- Experience in Supply Chain Management is great.
Technical/ Functional skills:
- Strong Customer Management skills, good communicator, able to create trust and rapport with customers/suppliers.
- Knowledge of supply chain workflow.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations.
- Knowledge of common business software tools (Microsoft office...) is a must
- Fluent in English
- Methodical and quantitative approach to data analysis. Good analytical skill.
Other skills and competencies:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills: Acting nicely and professionally under all circumstances.
- Fast and precise to ad-hoc tasks with minimal management.
- Highly available for ad-hoc tasks assignments. It means working extra hours, not 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, even working during weekend and holidays.
- Strong team spirit: communicate effectively internally, working as a team, discussing things before acting, pro-active attitude to be back-up for your teammates, even willing to do extra works in many cases to support; result/goal focused as a team.
- Hard working, self-disciplined and diligent.
